Eve Crowe, aged 67, who joined the Society in 1997, was formerly a partner of Alston, Nairn & Hogg (now Aitken Nairn) and then, after practising in Cowdenbeath and in the Borders, joined the Scottish Legal Aid Board in 1982 and spent over 20 years working on cases and assisting with the development of policy. On retiring, she continued to work for the Board on a casual basis, where her expertise in dealing with Court of Session cases was especially valued, up until last November. She was a Council member of this Society and its Social Convener for some years. Reference was made to a fine obituary in The Scotsman on 27 April.
